What is RSS?
RSS (Really Simple Syndication) feeds provide summaries of web
content together with links to the full versions of the content. Using an
RSS client you can subscribe to the feeds on the Isle of Wight Homes
site and be notified when new properties are added to the Recent Arrivals
page or properties are added that match the search criteria of the feed.
At the bottom of the property listings for 'Recent Arrivals', 'Price Bands' and
the 'Property Search' pages you will notice two icons as shown below.
and
The two feed icons link to an RSS feed that matches the search you performed or
the recent arrivals page listing. The first icon links to a text-only RSS feed
while the second links to an RSS feed containing text and a single image of the
property.
Clicking on the icons shows a man-readable representation of the RSS feed so you
can see which one you would like to use. The icons above are linked to the
Recent Arrivals RSS feed so when a new property is added your RSS Client will
inform you.
